WCC Monthly Meeting

The next meeting of the Waverley Community Council is on Wednesday 2nd October at 7:30pm at the AMP in the Brearley Room.

The agenda for the meeting and the draft minutes from the previous meeting can be found on the website. As always you are welcome to attend. Please note that access to the AMP is at the side-door. Entry can be gained after 7:15pm and the meeting starts promptly at 7:30pm.

Catcliffe Flooding Investigation Report

Following the publication of the Section 19 report into the flooding which occurred in October 2023, Rotherham Council will be hosting drop-in sessions for residents to talk to partners about the report.

Yellow Lines

Are being added to the junction between Stephenson Way and Lescar Road on Monday 2 September. The addition of the yellow lines is to ensure buses are able to navigate the junction without any issues.

Play equipment at Central Park

Play equipment at Central Park

The Land Trust have advised that the small roundabout in the play area at Central Park is currently out of action. The surface has deteriorated and is causing a trip hazard.

They have asked for the equipment supplier to assess it, when they undertake other work on the play area, and will provide an update when they can.

Street Food Festival organised by Harworth

Street Food Festival organised by Harworth

Harworth have organised a Street Food Festival by Waverley Lakes on Sunday 8th September, 1pm - 4pm.

The what3words location is penny.misty.humid.

They have arranged for food vendors to come along and there will be entertainment including live music and face painting.

All are welcome and you may wish to bring along picnic blankets/chairs.
