Planning Applications

Waverley Community Council is a statutory consultee in the planning process. It can comment on an application but the principal authority, Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council makes the decision. Outline planning permission was given back in 2011 for the majority of the residential development in Waverley.

Planning applications are normally discussed by the Planning Committee of the Waverley Community Council which meets when there is an application to be discussed. Details of the meetings are shown in the Council's Calendar. The Agenda for the forthcoming meeting is published at least 3 days prior to the meeting.

Whilst the Community Council considers and comments on applications affecting Waverley, Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council decides whether those comments are material to the planning application or not.

Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council's weekly list of applications. It includes details of the planning applications, decisions and appeals the Borough Council receives each week. Additionally, the WCC will add any significant planning items to its news feed.
